Advertising Information


NYPTA does not accept advertising from any practices in which the referral source has financial interest in the practice and refers patients to an employed physical therapist or to a physical therapist who supervises an employed physical therapist assistant. Advertisers with NYPTA and /or the Districts are required to certify that “no referral source (including any referring physician) has financial interest in the practice that is the subject of this advertisement” (BOD 01-05-06).

Conference Advertising

Continuing Education Calendar:

$150.00 per month for a description of 150 words or less with a link to advertisers website.

  • 10% off for members of the NYPTA
  • Free to anyone who gets their CEHs from NYPTA. We will require proof – a copy of the letter from the Continuing Education Approval Office

Blackout dates for advertising continuing education will be one month before and after the NYPTA conference according to policy. For example, if the conference is held on October 15 – 16, we would not accept any courses being held between September 15 and November 15.


An advertising order form must accompany your request for advertising, and ads must be pre-paid.

Empire State Physical Therapy


Six times a year: January/February, March/April, May/June, July/August, September/October, and November/December.


Empire State Physical Therapy has a monthly circulation of approximately 6,700. The newsletter is sent to all NYPTA members, as well as newsletter advertisers, all PT/PTA schools and universities in New York state, and select businesses, institutions, hospitals and government agencies within New York state and surrounding states.


To provide physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and physical therapy/physical therapist assistant students with accurate and timely information that is relevant to the practice of physical therapy.


NYPTA members automatically receive this publication as a membership benefit. The non-member subscription rate is $100 (US) or $150 (CAN) annually. (Call for overseas pricing, 518-459- 4499.) Mailing Labels

Contact our members directly!

Mailing labels for the whole state may be purchased, or we can break the state down by district. Click here to see NYPTA districts.


The following categories of organizations are eligible to use the mailing labels of the Association:

Commercial organizations whose products are eligible for advertising in the Empire State Physical Therapy Newsletter.

  1. Nonprofit philanthropic organizations such as recognized and accredited schools and national foundations.
  2. Components of the American Physical Therapy Association.
  3. Recognized and reputable health organizations.


Conditions for Use:

The following conditions are stipulated and must be agreed to, in writing, by the person or organization wishing to use the list:

The content of all materials to be included in a mailing must be submitted to the New York Physical Therapy Association (NYPTA) and only materials approved may be included in the mailing. This procedure and that in condition two, below, serve only to protect the name and reputation of the NYPTA and its good relationship with its members. The Chapter will not, under any circumstances, use these procedures to participate in business or marketing efforts of the entity.

  1. There must be no reference to the NYPTA in the mailing without prior written consent of the NYPTA and under no circumstances may a commercial organization make reference to the NYPTA in their mailing information. The exception to this would be:
    * Insurance firms mailing materials in reference to Association endorsed insurance programs for the membership.
    * Reprints of articles, which appeared in the official publication of the NYPTA and obtained through the auspices of the NYPTA.
    * Exhibitors mailing pre-meeting materials.
    *Continuing Education courses approved by the NYPTA.

      2. Users of the list must enter into a Rental Agreement with the NYPTA prior to receipt of the list.


      3. The list will be provided in the form of pressure sensitive labels or emailed via Excel spreadsheet. Users of the labels must agree not to copy or otherwise duplicate the set of labels, in whole or in part, and must further agree to use each set of labels only once. However, after each such use, should the user desire to conduct another mailing to the NYPTA members, an additional set of labels will be provided by the New York Physical Therapy Association in exchange for an additional rental fee.

Rental Fee:

A rental fee shall be paid to the NYPTA for each use of the membership mailing list.  Fee: 20 cents (.20) per label.

All major credit cards accepted, but there will be a $50.00 minimum fee for all credit card orders.

Once the NYPTA receives a copy of the item to be mailed, a check for payment in full, the signed mailing list rental agreement, your order will be processed. Please allow 5 - 7 business days for processing.
