Lobby Day Information
are excited to announce that Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel will be
addressing our Lobby Day participants. Her speech will take place at
11am in Hearing Room C, at the Legislative Office Building.
Lobby Day Information For Registration/Legislator Appointments
Lobby Day is Tuesday, May 10, 2016. FREE Bus Transportation is available in most districts – contact your legislative liaison for information on transportation.
Due to security issues and the loss of storage
space in the Legislative Office Building, participant packets will only
be available on-line. You will be able to download the packet in
advance of Lobby Day. Information on
how to access the packet will be sent to pre-registered attendees as
soon as the information becomes available. There will be one packet for each Legislator at District tables. If you are meeting with a legislator alone, you should ask the District Legislative Liaison for the packet for that legislator. If you are going with a group, the spokesperson for the group should bring the packet with them.
We will have office phones forwarded to one of our cell phones. Anyone with questions can call 1-800-459-4489 and ask for Kelly.
Advisory Panel on Legislation
The purpose of the Legislative Committee is to monitor and react to
all legislative activities that would affect the practice of physical
therapy; disseminate legislative information to districts via liaisons
for input; develop legislation that reflects the changes in scope and
need of the practice of physical therapy and, in accordance with the
membership needs; develop guidelines for members to react to legislation
in an appropriate, professional and informed manner; and identify
methods of recruiting support for our legislative interests.
