For the first time in many years, Steven DeConinck, lead instructor for the Cyriax Group in Europe, will be coming to the United States to teach the Cyriax Orthopaedic Highlights, Extremities Course based on the Cyriax philosophy.
This course will cover Functional examination; Manipulation/mobilization; Cross friction massage; Traction; and Differential diagnosis and will explain how each of the components relates to the extremity joints (should, elbow, wrist, knee and foot).
Specific course instruction will focus on examination and treatment of common conditions like golfer’s and tennis elbow, shoulder tendonitis/tendonosis, bursitis, ankle sprains, foot/knee/wrist ligamentous strains/sprains and other commonly seen diagnoses.
All attendees will receive a course manual, assessment forms and relevant articles in digital format for easy review after the course. Continuing education credits will be approved through the New York Physical Therapy Association and awarded for this course.
