A Faculty Development Workshop for New PT and PTA Faculty
FROM CLINIC TO CLASSROOM: A ROAD MAP FOR SUCCESS

June 17-20, 2014
This four-day workshop is designed for new faculty in PT and PTA education programs and those thinking about making the transition to academe. Sessions will be interactive in nature and conducted by faculty experts and experienced administrators. Applications will be made to the home institutions of the participants.
The workshop will be facilitated by faculty and administrators who hold a diversity of positions and have received national level awards in teaching, scholarship, and service, and have extensive expertise in academe, particularly in their content area.
The early bird registration fee is $695 for APTA members and $1042.50 for non-members who register by April 15, 2014. After April 15 the workshop registration fee is $795 for APTA members and $1192.50 for non-members. Space is limited to 40 participants; therefore, early registration is encouraged. The registration deadline is May 30, 2014.
Meals, Housing and Transportation
Morning and afternoon beverages and afternoon snacks are included in the cost of registration and will be provided on site (lunch and dinner are on your own). A hot complimentary breakfast is available each morning to those who secure lodging at the Country Inn and Suites. Visit the Housing Accommodations page for details.
All sessions of the workshop will be conducted at Ithaca College, less than a mile from the Country Inn and Suites. Shuttle service to and from the College will be arranged with the hotel. The hotel also provides shuttle service to and from the airport. Local public transportation is also available from the College to the downtown area. Rental cars are available at the airport for those who would like to tour the community before or after the workshop.
