NYPTA to Advertise On-Line

The New York Physical Therapy Association (NYPTA) and its public relations (PR) committee have worked diligently to promote physical therapy.

This year, the PR committee applied for and was awarded $5000 in grant money to promote physical therapy through another on-line ad campaign utilizing the Golf Digest and Runner's World websites for the month of April.  We are using the same ads that ran in October and have revamped www.moveforwardny.com to reflect the campaign.  The links we have control over are being tracked to see where the consumer is going once they land on our page.

Over the past 5 years, we created and aired commercials about physical therapy and direct access; we hired a consultant to help us with our high copay campaign; and we did an on-line campaign where our ads were displayed on the NY Times, USA Today and Golf Digest web sites. We also distributed APTA press releases and the districts held public events to promote physical therapy.
