Action Needed:  Mayors Office Opposes NYPTAs Bill S.5005/A.7308

The Office of the Mayor of the City of New York has sent a Memorandum in Opposition to the New York State Legislature opposing NYPTA’s bill that will enable physical therapist assistants to treat injured workers in New York (S.5005/A.7308).

It is clear that there is a misconception on the Mayor’s part that allowing physical therapist assistants to treat injured workers in New York will drive up utilization and increase costs on the City.

If you are a New York City resident, please contact the Mayor’s office as soon as possible at 212-788-8820 and voice your displeasure with their recent action against NYPTA’s efforts in this regard.
