New Consumer Choice Brochure Available

The NYPTA has developed an informational brochure, intended for consumers of physical therapy services, explaining patients’ rights when choosing a physical therapist.

The brochure, available to members for distribution in clinics and offices, makes clear the potential financial conflict-of-interest issues when physicians insist that a patient see a specific physical therapist. Various questions pertaining to physician ownership of PT services are answered to help consumers understand that they have every right to select a PT of their own choosing.

Members who wish to obtain a brochure may print it from here for free. You can view it as a web page or download a PDF file. If you wish to purchase the brochures, the cost for members is $10.00 for 25, $18.00 for 50. For non-members, the cost is $15.00 for 25,$27.00 for 50. Please call the chapter office at the number below to order your brochures.

If you have any questions please call the chapter office at 518-459-4499.
