The NYPTA Chapter staff have been using on-line software, OutMarket, to help get the profession of physical therapy some exposure in the media. One of the advantages of OutMarket is that we have the ability to select key words and receive leads when a reporter is looking for information pertaining to that specific key word. When the staff began using OutMarket, the Public Relations committee helped compile an expert list. When a request comes through that sounds promising, Staff contacts one of the people on this list and relays contact information of the reporter. An article was recently published because of this process. The article can be found at http://healthcare.careercast.com/article/best-jobs-healthcare-2014.
In 2015, OutMarket will be paid for in part by a grant received from APTA.
