We need your help!!!
The New York Legislative session is winding down and NYPTA anticipates action on favorable legislation (S.4631-A) which would require the Workers’ Compensation Board to revise the fee schedule and a hostile budget proposal which would impose a $35 co-pay on physical therapy services for the Family Health Plus program.
Below are phone scripts that you can use when reaching out to your legislator. Have as many patients, family and friends call their legislators and keep calling until NYPTA alerts you of any change in the legislation. Note that the phone script does not address the workers’ compensation legislation since the Assembly has already passed it.

For your Senator
I am requesting that the Senator vote in favor of S.4631-A which would require the Workers’ Compensation Board to revise the health care fee schedules which have not been updated since 1996.
For your Assemblymember
I am requesting that the Assemblymember reject the budget proposal to increase the Family Health Plus co-payment to $35 for physical therapy services. These co-payments add up to $420 per month for a typical course of treatment and my patients cannot afford these co-payments in these difficult times.
