NYPTA is composed of 10 districts:

Brooklyn/Staten Island Counties: Kings and Richmond	Greater New York Counties: Bronx, New York and Queens
Catskill Counties: Columbia, Delaware, Dutchess, Greene, Sullivan and Ulster	Hudson Valley Counties: Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester
Central Counties: Cayuga, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego and St. Lawrence	Long Island Counties: Nassau and Suffolk
Eastern Counties: Albany, Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Hamilton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren and Washington	Southern Tier Counties: Broome, Chemung, Chenango, Otsego, Schuyler, Steuben, Tioga and Tompkins
Finger Lakes Counties: Allegany, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Yates	Western Counties: Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming
