Communication within the New York Physical Therapy Association (NYPTA)

Part 2

In 2009 the Chapter initiated a communication survey to help obtain information on how the Chapter communicates with membership. This follow-up survey is being conducted to enhance the information obtained so that Chapter Leadership can better serve its members. By enhancing communication, our hope is to have members more closely connected to the association, as well as attempting to gain new members through these efforts.

Visit http://www.nypta.org/i4a/forms/form.cfm?id=42 to fill out the communication survey.

Letter from NYPTA President to the Workers' Compensation Board

On behalf of the over five thousand members of the New York Physical Therapy Association I would like respond to the new proposed Workers Compensation Medical Treatment Guidelines. While we applaud any attempt to improve upon the existing system, we believe that change needs to be productive and in the best interest of both patients and providers. There are three main concerns that we would like to identify in this letter and request response: the guidelines themselves, reimbursement and access.  [read more]
