• Course Description/Outline:

o This one-hour course will present the Saliba Postural Classification System including its description and application. Reliability and validity findings will also be presented.

 

Course Objectives:

 

Upon completion of the course the participant will:

o describe ideal posture according to the SPCS
o describe the five inefficient postures presented in the SPCS and use them to evaluate patient posture
o apply the physiological and structural principles for the SPCS as and intervention to correct patient posture
o understand the reliability and validity of the SPCS and how they relate to evidence based practice
o understand the clinical and research applications of the SPCS and how it may compare to other postural evaluation systems and interventions
