CONGRATULATIONS!

The L.I. District is pleased to announce that Diane De Lissio, P.T.A., is the winner of the 2007 Jeffrey J. Ellis Memorial Scholarship.  Diane's name was randomly selected by a participant at the January 24, 2008 L.I. District meeting and continuing education course held at Nassau Community College.  This scholarship awards up to $500 for registration in a continuing education course offered by Integrative Manual Therapy Solutions (IMTS), an educational organization founded by Jeffrey Ellis. 

Thank you to all who attended our fund raising activity at the Governor's Comedy Club in Bellmore, New York for making this award possible and to all who applied for the scholarship for participating in this event.

Directions to Long Island Locations
  • SCC (Ammerman Campus):
    Exit 62 off the Long Island Expressway, go north (toward Stony Brook). At the second light, make a right into the entrance of the campus; make the first right off the traffic circle and park. Go up the hill past the Brookhaven Gym to the Riverhead building; go upstairs 1 flight and proceed to Rm 114.

  • NYIT (New York Institute of Technology at Old Westbury):
    From the West - Take the Long Island Expressway to Exit 39N (Glen Cove N). Follow Glen Cove Road north to Northern Blvd. (Route 25A). Turn right onto 25A and continue east for over one mile. NYIT entrance is on your right at the light.
    From the East - Take the Long Island Expressway to Exit 41N (Broadway, Route 107). Follow Route 107N to Northern Blvd. (Route 25A) and continue west to the 4th traffic light. NYIT is on the left at the light.
    Into NYIT - Go straight into the college, passing a parking lot and a brick library on your right. Bear toward the right and park in second parking lot across from the Academic Health Care Center to the 500 Building.

  • Health Science Center / SUNY at Stony Brook:
    Take Long Island Expressway (495) to exit 62 N, travel on Nichols Road for approximately 8 miles until you see a sign for Stony Brook Hospital and Health Science Center. Make a right at the traffic light to enter East Loop Road. Follow the signs to the Hospital parking garage and main entrance of the University Hospital.     Hospital Parking: Hospital parking cost $7.50 for the full day or $1.50 per hour.

  • North Shore University Hospital at Syosset

  • Traveling by car:
    From Queens -
    Take the Grand Central Parkway east. It will become the Northern State Parkway. Take the Northern State to Exit 36 North (South Oyster Bay Road). Continue on South Oyster Bay Road to Jericho Turnpike and make a left turn. NSUH at Syosset is on the right, one-quarter mile down the road.
    From Nassau and Suffolk (South Shore) -
    Take the Southern State Parkway to Exit 28A North (Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway, Route 135 North). Continue to the end of the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway. Exit at Jericho Turnpike West (Exit 14W). Take Jericho Turnpike three-quarters of a mile. NSUH at Syosset is on the right.
    From Nassau and Suffolk (North Shore) -
    Take the LIE to Exit 43 (South Oyster Bay Road). Go north on South Oyster Bay Road, continue to Jericho Turnpike and make a left turn. NSUH at Syosset is on the right, one-quarter mile down the road.

  • Traveling by rail road:
    Take the Huntington Line and get off at the Syosset station. Call L.I.R.R. for train schedule: (516) 822-5477. Taxi service is available at the station office.

  • Directions from the Syosset Train Station:
    Take Jackson Avenue southbound to Jericho Turnpike. Make a right turn and the Hospital is on the right, one-quarter mile down the road
