PRESENT

THE JUVENT DYNAMIC MOTION DEVIDE
Science-Based Dynamic Motion Therapy

With

Joan McCabe, RN

MONDAY, MAY 19TH

Saint Francis Hospital
Poughkeepsie, NY
Medical Education Room
3rd Floor, Thorne Room*
6:30-8:30pm

The Juvent Dynamic Motion Device delivers high frequency, low-level mechanical signals to the hip and spine.  The signal is delivered by a vibrating plate on which patients stand for ten to twenty minutes, several times a week.  Juvent’s technology is specifically designed for frail individuals with compromised musculoskeletal systems.  During her presentation, Joan McCabe will offer this device for observation and assessment.

Research on Juvent’s validity has been accepted by the European Commission.  The device can be marketed in Europe for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis.  In the US, the FDA requires more clinical data, so the Juvent is marketed for muscle restoration, mobility maintenance and fall prevention.

Joan McCabe is an RN with 20 years of clinical experience in Orthopedic and Trauma Nursing.  She was the OR coordinator of Orthopaedic Surgery for 15 years and head nurse in an Emergency Room and Trauma Unit for 56 years.  Ms. McCabe left the clinical arena to work in clinical research, designing clinical trials for the use of orthopaedic devises.  In that capacity she conducted trials for a bone stimulator for acceleration of fracture healing that received marketing approval from the FDA.  She is currently functioning in that capacity for the numerous applications of Juvent 1000, Dynamic Motion Therapy.

For more information, please call Anne Lancellotti at 473-5668 or Jean Woods at 431-8780.

*Enter through the Atrium.  Stop at the desk in the Lobby for directions to the Thorne room.
