New York Student Special Interest Group

This is your opportunity to join and be a part of a network of students from all of the ten districts in New York!

The formation of a Student Special Interest Group (SSIG) in the state of New York was made official at Delegate Assembly in May 2002. A SSIG will provide a network in which student and student affiliate members in NY may meet, confer, and promote the interests of members, the NY Chapter and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Most importantly, the network will provide for the exchange of information between PT and PTA students from all ten districts concerning issues confronting the profession of Physical therapy.

For additional information about SSIG, visit www.aptastudent.org or email nyssig@hotmail.com

You are eligible to join the NYSSIG if you attend a PT/PTA school in NY and you are:

  1. A NYPTA member
  2. An APTA member in good standing
I would like to be part of the Student Network in New York.
I am interested in leadership positions available to students in this network.
