No Time Like the Present
By: Christine McNamara PT, DPT, Nominating Committee Member

It’s time.
It’s time again for the Nominating Committee to begin preparing a slate of candidates for your consideration. This fall, the committee will be slating candidates for the positions of President, Vice President and Speaker of the Delegate Assembly and a new member to the Nominating Committee.

It’s time.
In order to present the very best possible slate of candidates, the Nominating Committee is asking you – the New York Chapter membership – to take the time to recognize and encourage your colleagues who have demonstrated leadership potential by submitting a nomination form on his or her behalf.

It’s time.

It’s time for you to consider elevating your own level of commitment and dedication to your profession by considering running for a position yourself.

It’s time.
It’s time to build on our accomplishments, to get the work done, and to move the profession forward. It can’t be done if you don’t take the time.

The nomination forms are available in the September issue of the newsletter on page 5 and 7 or online at http://www.nypta.org/Committees/nominating.htm.

The nomination form for President, Vice President, Speaker of the Assembly and Nominating Committee are due in Chapter Office by November 8, 2007 at 5:00 PM. Individuals wishing to become Delegates to the APTA House of Delegates must submit their own nomination forms by December 15, 2007 at 5:00 PM.

Elected individuals represent physical therapists and physical therapist assistants in New York State in public, professional, and legislative arenas.
