PHYSICAL THERAPIST CHARLES D. CICCONE RECEIVES THE CATHERINE WORTHINGHAM FELLOW AWARD

Physical Therapist Charles D Ciccone, PT, PhD, FAPTA, of Brooktondale has received the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA’s) 2007 Catherine Worthingham Fellow award. He was honored during an awards ceremony at Physical Therapy 2007: Annual Conference & Exposition of the American Physical Therapy Association in Denver, CO., in June, 2007.

Ciccone is physical therapy professor at Ithaca College in Ithaca, and is a member of APTA, where he served as editor of the Association’s monthly scientific journal, Physical Therapy. He is also a member of the American College of Sports Medicine.

The APTA House of Delegates charged the Board of Directors to establish the Catherine Worthingham Fellows of the Association, in 1980, to recognize those persons whose work, like the distinguished woman honored in this action, has resulted in lasting and significant advances in the science, education, and practice of the profession of physical therapy.
